Departmental Responsibilities: Coordination and implementation of a preservation program for the University Library collections in all formats. Conservation treatment, digital conversion, binding, brittle book replacement, environmental monitoring, disaster preparedness, and preservation education are the primary aspects of the preservation program efforts.

Responsibilities: Physical care of general, circulating materials in the Parks Library, Library Storage Building, and the Reading Rooms, as well as Special Collections and Archives materials.

Mindy McCoy, Preservation Services Coordinator
Responsibilities: This unit brings together all vended services under one manager. It consists of reformatting services including, preservation photocopying and microfilming, custom-fit enclosures, mass deacidification, and commercial library binding. Shelf preparation is also a function of this unit, providing materials with security devices, property stamps, bookplates, and call number labels.

Vicki Woolley, Periodical Room and Library Storage Building
Responsibilities: Staff in Stacks Management provide physical access to the Parks Library building and its general collections. They also oversee the Library Storage Building and the Periodical Room. The section includes the following units:
