Students, Faculty, and Staff
On-campus and remote access
When using Quick Search or our list of library databases, ISU students, faculty and staff can access online resources from anywhere, on campus or off. Just enter your ISU Net-ID if prompted.
Students, faculty, and staff can also access library resources without going through Quick Search or our database list. From on campus, many of our online resources can be accessed directly without a login. From off campus, many platforms allow you to get access after selecting Iowa State University as your institution. Using the Libkey Nomad browser extension makes it even easier.
Guests and Alumni
On-campus access
Access to most of the library’s online resources is available to members of the public visiting Parks Library while connected to a campus network. You can connect a personal device to the guest or Eduroam wireless networks, or use one of our library workstations. View the list of exceptions.
Remote access
Remote access to the library's online resources is only available to current students, faculty, and staff.
