Do something different during Open Access Week and dive into zine-making (pronounced ZEEN) a
mini, do-it-yourself magazine. They're
quick to make, easy to share, and perfect for telling stories, whether that's
how-to guides, art, comics, poems, or opinions. Authors can make a single copy
for yourself or scan the original to share with friends, classes, or clubs.
Celebrate voice, creativity, and community memory during Open
Access Week! No experience needed. Just drop by,
grab supplies, and start making.
Drop-in anytime from noon-2:30 p.m., Thursday, October 23, 2025, th Catalyst
(Room 199), Parks Library.

Forget polished or perfect, this is your chance to be fresh and fallible. Sketch, scribble, cut, and paste your way to something fierce. Participants will have the option
to learn how to create a digital zine, too; those interested are encouraged to bring a laptop or borrow one in advance from Tech Lending.
Kits are prepared and provided by the Margaret Sloss Center for
Women and Gender Equity (Sloss House).
