Call for proposals: Tracing Race at ISU

Author: Erin Ridnour

Tracing Race at Iowa State University Proposals Accepted until April 5.

The Tracing Race at Iowa State University Advisory Group is accepting proposals for digital projects that reveal the under-documented history of accomplishment and experience of people of color, and engage with the history of race at Iowa State University. The committee welcomes proposals from all undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff in any discipline. Undergraduate applicants are asked to identify a faculty or staff advisor for their project, and it is strongly recommended that all potential applicants schedule a consultation prior to submitting a proposal. Spring deadline for submission is Friday, April 5, 2024.

Proposals are accepted at any time, reviewed, and selected once per semester. Due dates are the first Fridays of November and April.

Additionally, students who submit proposals and serve as project lead will be considered for $2,500 awards to support their work. This is made possible by the Sanderson Family Library Assistantships Fund. Review our funding announcement for details.
