About the Design Reading Room
The Design Reading Room houses some 10,000 volumes, including current subscriptions to approximately 100 periodical titles. The collection includes both permanent and course reserve materials for departments within the College of Design.
Staff provide assistance in the use of Library search engines including Quick Search and other electronic resources.
Borrowing materials
Patrons who have an ISUCard may borrow materials from the Design Reading Room.
Loan periods are as follows:
Course Reserves: 3 hour
Books (faculty and graduate students): extended loan
Books (undergraduate): 4 weeks
CD's: 1 week
Journals (bound): 1 week
Journals (unbound): 1 day
Reference: 1 day
Maps: 1 day
Media equipment
Equipment for teaching purposes is available on request to faculty in the College of Design between 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday.
The Design Reading Room serves as a designated campus media satellite of the Instructional Technology Center.
