Restroom renovations are underway in Parks Library.
Work on the 57-year old restrooms in Parks Library (south end of the 1960s addition) is underway. A substantial completion date in August means that as students return for the fall semester, they will have new bathrooms to use. Located on each floor of the building, the modern facilities will comply with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and be gender and family inclusive.
Parks Library is one of the most heavily used buildings on the Iowa State campus, with 12,000+ students visiting every day. Parks Library will be on the growing list of buildings with accommodating and inclusive washrooms. The second bank of restrooms at the north end of the 1960s addition will be completed over the summer in 2019.
