Sept. 23-24: Celebrate the Parks Library Centennial

The Parks Library Centennial celebration continues. Join us for trivia, musical entertainment, tastings, and tours. There will be something for everyone.

Sept. 23: Centennial Trivia Night

Room 198, Parks Library. Short social with FREE food starts at 6:30-7:00 p.m., followed by three rounds of trivia from 7:00-8:30 p.m. 

Teams of up to 6 members will test their knowledge across a variety of topics, with questions presented on screen and answer sheets provided. Between rounds, a nacho/snackies bar and music will keep the evening relaxed and engaging. Winning teams will be recognized during the Centennial celebrations.

Sept. 24: Centennial Celebration

12:15 p.m. in the Reading Room. A performance by The Iowa Statesmen, one of the region's leading men's choirs, under the direction of Dr. James Rodde, will set the mood, tours will showcase our historic and innovative building, and legendary items from Iowa State history will be on display.

1-3 p.m., Special Collections and University Archives Open House in the Reading Room on 4th floor.

Free samples of ice cream and hard cider will be available. “Aha! Moments: Parks Library” is a new cherry-chocolate flavor launched by the ISU Creamery to celebrate our special milestone.
