March 25, Digital Scholarship Symposium

The third annual Digital Scholarship Symposium will be held March 25, 2026, in The Catalyst, the dedicated digital research and learning space in Parks Library. The event will be hosted by the Iowa State University Library Digital Scholarship and Initiatives department and the Center for Excellence in the Arts and Humanities (CEAH), in collaboration with partners at Grinnell College and the University of Iowa.

The Symposium will feature two panel discussions and a series of student lightning talks:

  • "Public Digital Arts and Humanities: Community Impact Through Digital Projects"
  • "Digital Pedagogy: Expanding Digital Literacy and Creativity in the Classroom"
  • Lightning talk presentations showcasing digital scholarship-related work by undergraduate and graduate students

This event brings together a broad range of digital scholarship practitioners including faculty, students, librarians, and community members to explore how digital methods and tools are transforming research, teaching, art, and public engagement.

Faculty, staff, graduate and undergraduate students, and members of the Ames community who are interested in learning more about digital scholarship and connecting with a growing community of practice are encouraged to attend.

Symposium attendees will have opportunities throughout the day to connect with others interested in digital scholarship and to celebrate the panelists during a catered lunch.

Advance registration is required. Register today. Please bookmark the Symposium Guide and check back often for updates. Registration closes at 5:00pm, Monday, March 23, 2026.
