New public workstations

Oct 27, 2005

Students and staff who returned to the University Library this fall discovered new public workstations throughout the building. Based upon user feedback, Dean Madison authorized the replacement of nearly all the public workstations in Parks Library. The new workstations are Dell Optiplex GX280 systems featuring 3.2 Pentium 4 processors, 40X CDRW/DVD ROM drives, and 17 inch flat panel LCD monitors.

The purchase of these machines was made possible by a combination of funds from student computer fees, and money pledged through the Annual Giving Program including Phone Center calls to parents and alumni. We hope students and staff will appreciate and benefit from the new workstations installed by the Library's IT staff.
