Free access: The Atlantic, Bloomberg Business Week, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Inside Higher Ed

The University Library provides students, faculty, and staff with free digital access to leading national, regional, and higher education news publications to support teaching, learning, and research.

Current subscriptions include New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Storm Lake Times Pilot, and Cherokee Chronicle Times. The library also provides access to the complete run of The Atlantic digitized print edition (1857 to present) and Bloomberg Businessweek (August 2014 to present). Online editions of The Atlantic and Businessweek are available, too. Higher education news sources, including The Chronicle of Higher Education and Inside Higher Ed are also on the menu.

Some of these publications include searchable archives, making them valuable for both historical research and current awareness. The Journal subscription features a dedicated Higher Education section for students andfaculty.

For convenient browsing or reading on the go, mobile apps for The Times, The Journal, The Atlantic, and Businessweek are available for both iOS and Android.

The library also licenses many additional local, national, and international newspapers through its news databases. Please contact the library team with questions or suggestions.
