Library news: Attend a seminar on Open Educational Resources
A seminar, Alternatives to Teaching with Textbooks ? Open Educational Resources, is planned from 12:10 to 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 23 in Room 192 at Parks Library. This event is coordinated by the?Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching?(CELT) and the?University Library.
Interested in expanding teaching materials? Dissatisfied with the current information/quality of textbooks currently in use? Concerned about the textbook cost/usability for students? Librarians Emma Molls and Kelly Thompson introduce Open Educational Resources. This seminar will help participants build an online alternative to traditional textbooks for the classroom.
The seminar will be facilitated by Emma Molls, scholarly communication and social sciences & humanities Librarian and Kelly Thompson, metadata management and cataloging librarian.
