Free digital access to major newspapers and magazines

The University Library is pleased to remind the campus community of free, full digital access to several major national and local publications. Students, faculty, and staff have access to The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, as well as two Iowa-based newspapers: The Storm Lake Times Pilot and The Cherokee Chronicle Times. 

The library also provides access to The Atlantic back issues, including all issues of its print edition since its founding in 1857. Similarly available is the Bloomberg Businessweek, with issues dating to August 2014. Online editions of The Atlantic and BusinessWeek are available through their publishers’ websites. 

These resources also have deep archives that are accessible to users. A dedicated Higher Education section designed for students and educators is available through The Journal. 

For convenient access, mobile apps for The Times, The Journal, The Atlantic and Businessweek are available for both iOS and Android.
