Engineering database purchase

The ISU Library has recently purchased an electronic backfile that will allow engineering researchers to search the literature all the way back to 1884. The Compendex database now contains 1.7 million new, manually re-keyed, records. Previous to this backfile purchase, the Compendex database only contained records for engineering literature from 1969 to the present. The older literature can be accessed on the Compendex database search screen by simply changing the date range being searched on the search menu.
