Recent updates to Title II of the ADA reinforce that public institutions must ensure their digital services, including websites and online resources, are accessible to individuals with disabilities.
The University Library is working to improve the accessibility of our digital systems, services, and collections. This includes materials we digitize and provide through services such as course reserves and interlibrary loan. We are responsible for ADA compliance in the platforms we manage and work with vendors to support accessibility in third-party resources.
If you are using library materials in your courses, we encourage you to plan ahead and contact us early.
If you need materials in an accessible format, the library can assist by providing alternative formats, identifying accessible versions, or coordinating with vendors to address issues. Availability, feasibility, and response times may vary, particularly for third-party resources.
If you have questions, or need help accessing materials, contact us.
