Conducting a Lit Review: “A Citation Here, A Citation There. . .Pretty Soon You’ll Have a Lit Review” is planned from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 12, in 198 Parks Library.

Searching for publications for a literature review is a frustrating experience for many graduate students. If you dread finding material for your lit review, join us for this workshop where you’ll learn about search strategies, how to find and search subject databases, and how to keep up with literature in your field. You’ll also be introduced to citation chains and how they can streamline your search for relevant publications. Preregister at PD@ISU.

Lit Review Without Tears: Tangible Strategies for Writing a Pain-Free Literature Review is planned from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 19, in 198 Parks Library.

 Many graduate students consider the literature review one of the most daunting part of the research article to write. If you're one of those students, join us for this workshop, where we'll discuss purposes of the lit review, overview qualities of a successful lit review, and provide easy-to-apply techniques to help you craft an effective argument in your lit review with as little stress as possible. Preregister at PD@ISU
