Historical Note

The American Association of Industrial Veterinarians was founded in 1954. Its membership
consists of veterinarians employed in a professional capacity in industrial activities such as
drug and chemical firms, livestock or poultry enterprises, or independent research. The
AAIV holds workshops and publishes AAIV Highlights on a quarterly basis.

Collection Description

This collection consists of minutes, correspondence, reports, programs, and annual meeting
information. The material of the organization includes topics such as the health and nutrition
of animals, the association's relationships to the livestock and poultry enterprises, and drug
and chemical firms. Correspondence pertaining to the board members, association members,
and general inquiries are also found in the collection.
