Historical note


The AAVSB, founded in 1957, is the overseer to standardize and regulate veterinary medicine practice and licensure.  They also act as a clearinghouse for research in veterinary medicine.  The organization consists of representatives from state organizations that meet annually in July.

The collection contains annual meeting minutes (1958, 1960-61, 1963-71, 1973-83, 1985), a committees list (1963), correspondence (1963, 1974 1985, 1986), legislation and regulations information (n.d.), and writings (n.d.).
