Collection
description

The collection (1883-1951, n.d.) consists of an account book from the
Archer & Hayes farm and dairy in East Chester, New York. The volume
contains an 1883 agreement establishing the business, as well as
accounts for amounts of milk and produce sold, 1883-1885; labor
accounts, 1883-1884; planting accounts, 1884-1890; and stock
inventories, 1884-1885. The book also contains a farmer's journal from
1942-1951 for a farm in Westchester County, New York. This journal
includes entries on livestock, planting, and household accounts. |
