Biographical note

Lisa Ackerman received her B.A. in Civil Engineering from Union College (Schenectady, N.Y.); her M.A. in Landscape Architecture from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design; and is employed by HNTB Corporation in Boston.


Collection description

This collection currently contains two articles on the topic of women civil engineers. The first discusses Ackerman’s background, her work in mentoring, and the American Society of Civil Engineers’ outreach programs. The second was given at a conference held at Rose-Hulman Institute. Ackerman details her experiences as a woman in engineering.
