The American
Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) was founded
in 1907 as the American Society of Agricultural Engineers (ASAE).
The ASABE is a professional society of agricultural engineers in
industry and public service. The society develops engineering
standards used in agriculture and sponsors national technical
meetings and continuing education for agricultural engineers.
Society activities are also conducted through geographic sections,
affiliated communities, and special programs. |

This collection
(1949-2002) contains records of the Mid-Central Region of the
American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers. The
collection includes by-laws; annual
meeting programs; correspondence; committee assignments; lists of
officers and committees; memos; minutes of business meetings;
materials on annual meetings and meetings of the Executive
Committee; newsletters; program committee materials; treasurer's
reports; student committee reports; and materials about the national
association. The collection also contains reports, newsletters, and
other information from ASABE sections including the Iowa Section,
Kansas Section, Missouri Section, Nebraska Section, and Quad Cities
Section. |
