Historical
note
|
|
The Citizens
Action Committee for Fair Representation was organized in November
1960 as an outgrowth of the Citizens Committee for a Constitutional
Convention. Its basic tenets were: 1) the Iowa House of
Representatives should be apportioned on a population basis; 2) the
Iowa Senate should be established on an area or geographic basis;
and 3) there should be an automatic reapportionment every ten years
after each Federal census. |
