The American
Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) was founded
in 1907 as the American Society of Agricultural Engineers (ASAE).
The ASABE is a professional society of agricultural engineers in
industry and public service. The society develops engineering
standards used in agriculture and sponsors national technical
meetings and continuing education for agricultural engineers.
Society activities are also conducted through geographic sections,
affiliated communities, and special programs. The Tennessee Section
is part of geographic District 2. |

This collection
(1941-1979) contains records of the Tennessee Section of the
American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers. The
collection is arranged by year and each annual file generally
contains minutes, annual meeting programs, correspondence, financial
reports, and newsletters; files containing additional materials are
noted. Material related to the history of the Tennessee Section are
located in folder 1/17. |
