The American
Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) was founded
in 1907 as the American Society of Agricultural Engineers (ASAE).
The ASABE is a professional society of agricultural engineers in
industry and public service. The society develops engineering
standards used in agriculture and sponsors national technical
meetings and continuing education for agricultural engineers.
Society activities are also conducted through geographic sections,
affiliated communities, and special programs. The Kansas Section is
part of geographic District 3. |

This collection
(1970-1979) contains records of the Kansas Section of the American
Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers. The collection is
arranged by year and each annual file generally contains agendas and
minutes, correspondence and memoranda, officers and committee lists,
annual reports, annual meeting programs and reports, membership
reports, and publications; additional materials are noted for each
file. The collection also contains materials related to the
Mid-Central Region. Materials related to the formation of the
Kansas Section are found in folder 1/1. |
