Historical
note
|
|
The Barry
Company was based in Iowa City, Johnson County, Iowa. In the early
1900s, the Barry Company claimed to have a "sure cure" for specific
ophthalmia, moon blindness, and sore eyes in horses and cattle. They
operated chiefly through mail orders. A small advertisement
published in newspapers and farm magazines produced letters of
inquiry from all over the United States. |
