Historical
note

Ruby A. Holten grew up on a farm near Decorah, Iowa and went to Luther
College. Her ancestors immigrated from Norway. From 1853-1900 her
grandfather farmed the land and from 1900 her father and his family were
on the farm. Between 1912-1935 her mother and father lived in Decorah
and from 1936-1942 the farm was managed by Farmers National Company. |
