Biographical
note

|
State representative John E. Camp was born on
March 5, 1915, on a farm in Clinton County, Iowa, the son of Walter
and Johanna Camp. Camp was a member of the Clinton County Farm
Bureau Board, the Republican Farm Council, and the Clinton County
Board of Supervisors.
Camp served six terms in the Iowa House of
Representatives. He was chair of the Appropriations Committee and a member of
committees involved with state government and Iowa development.
He married Dorothy Mowat in 1938; they had one
son, James. John E. Camp died May 4, 1988. |
