User Assistance

Services to Veterinary Medical Library users include reference assistance, instruction, and orientations for new students, faculty, and staff.  Instruction and orientations for groups or individuals will usually need to be arranged in advance with library staff.

Sessions can be tailored to fit specific individual or group needs.  Typical topics for instruction deal with using the ISU Library Catalog; searching MEDLINE/PubMed, CAB Abstracts, Web of Science and other online indexes;  and choosing and searching other appropriate Web resources.  Thousands of electronic resources are available through the ISU e-Library web pages and the library's computer workstations.

When using the Veterinary Medical Library, please ask for help at the Service Desk as you need it.  Your questions and comments are always welcome!
