Reserving a Library Storage Building Research Study Room

Are you requesting numerous Storage titles or 15 or more volumes? You may be interested in reserving a Library Storage Building Research Study Room.

The Library Storage Building, located off of Stange Road, has two research study rooms available for patron use.

• for use of large number of volumes
• private room equipped with desk, chair and bookcase
• room available on weekly basis
• copy machine available
• restrooms available

Contact Lorrie Smith in person (Library Storage Building), by phone (515-294-2863), or by email (smithll@iastate.edu).

1. Contact Lorrie for information on room availability, and to arrange a time to check out the key and parking tag.
2. Prepare a list of the Storage volumes you want to use.  Give to Lorrie when you pick up the key.  If you want to browse the Library Storage Collection, you may do so by making arrangements with Lorrie.
3. Requested volumes will be placed in your assigned research study room by 3:30 p.m. after you have picked up the key.
4. A room reservation is made for a maximum of one week and can be renewed if available.

Costs:

1. There are no charges to use the room.
2. The photocopy machine in the Library Storage Building will accept coins, dollar bills, or the CyCash feature of the ISUCard.  Per copy cost: 10¢ for letter-size and legal-size.
3. Fines/Charges:

• $5.00 per day for failure to return key and parking tag on due date.
• $25.00 for lost parking tag.
• $20.00 for lost key.
• $2.00 processing fee for any charge billed to U-bill.
