The following services are being offered for use of material in the Library
Storage Building (LSB):
Storage Building hours
Daily walk-in service is available; hours vary from general Library hours
and are posted on the door and under Library
Hours. Use the phone in the LSB lobby to call student assistant for help.
Student assistants will retrieve desired material from the closed stacks, and
assist you in using the on-site photocopy machine. The photocopy machine will
accept coins, dollar bills, or the CyCash feature on the ISUCard.
Delivery of storage materials to Parks Library
Requests for Storage material may now be made through the Library Catalog via the "Request item" feature. To use this feature:
Within the catalog record, click on "Request item", complete your user information (Borrower ID and Library pin#), complete any other information as appropriate, and submit your request.
Requests made before noon Monday through Friday will be available at the:
Parks Library Circulation Desk after 3:30 p.m. the same day.
Veterinary Medical Library Service Desk after 4:00 p.m. the following working day (i.e., Monday through Friday).
There is no weekend delivery. The Library reserves the right to limit the number of Storage delivery requests per person per day.
Printed request forms are also available at the Parks Library Circulation Desk and at the Veterinary Medical Library Service Desk.
Research studies
Two Research Study rooms are available in LSB to be reserved on a weekly
basis. This is an alternative to having a large number of volumes brought back
to Parks Library. Contact Lorrie Smith in person at the Storage Building, by
phone (294-2863), or by e-mail (smithll@iastate.edu).
Document Delivery Service
If you would like to arrange for material in the Storage Building to be
photocopied and delivered directly to your home or office, use the Library’s
fee-based Document Delivery Service. ISU faculty, staff, and students are
assessed a base fee of $5.00 per document for this service; others are
assessed a $12.00 base fee. Requests may be submitted via a web
form. Phone requests are also accepted at 294-0440 (an additional
$5.00 fee is incurred).
