H. Summerfield Day's history of Iowa State University's buildings and grounds from 1859-1979. Twelve years in the making, it contains information on virtually every building or structure that had been built on the Iowa State University campus prior to 1979.

Sketch is a literary journal edited and published by Iowa State University students incorporating juried artistic works, written or visual, by students. The journal began in 1934 and continues today. Currently includes issues from 1934 to 2007 (v.1-v.72).

The Iowa Agriculture College newspaper, "The Aurora" was published monthly by the students for the four literary societies on campus. It contains thoughts on culture, reading, and science, as well as notes on alumni, the campus, and student life.
