Special Collections and University Archives news: October is American Archives Month.

Rare Books as Artifacts Workshop

On Thursday, Oct. 12, Amy Bishop, rare books and manuscripts archivist, will lead "Beyond the Text: Rare Books as Artifacts" in 405 Parks. Open to the whole ISU community, participants don't have to be faculty or a history major to benefit. This session will be ideal for those interested in learning about or teaching the history of the book or using rare books to help teach art, natural history, or botany. All are welcome, including those with a casual interest in the topic or a desire to spend the afternoon learning something new. Preregister thru Learn@ISU.
