MDPI, the Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute, is a publisher of open access journal articles, and offers the full text freely available to anyone with an Internet connection, worldwide.? MDPI is a relatively young publisher working to increase its visibility. They currently publish 150 journals that cover nearly every discipline, many of which meet inclusion criteria to be indexed in databases such as Web of Science, Scopus, Compendex, and PubMed Central.

MDPI is a member of the Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA) and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), boards that work to maintain the ethical standards of publishing and open access.

As part of ISU?s institutional membership, Iowa State authors are currently eligible for a 10 percent discount on the article publishing charge when publishing through MDPI.?
