Since 1958, the American Library Association (ALA) has sponsored National Library Week to celebrate the contributions of our nation?s libraries and librarians and to promote the use and support of all our libraries. All types of libraries - school, public, academic and special - participate in this celebration each year. Julie Foudy, Olympic soccer gold medalist and World Cup champion?is the 2017 Honorary Chair of National Library Week.
