Cara StoneCara B. Stone began at ISU on July 21, 2017,?an Instruction Librarian. She will focus on Library 160, instructor/administrative support, curriculum development, new student orientation, international student outreach, and non-disciplinary instruction outreach. Cara is a?Boone native and earned her bachelor?s degree in music education from Luther College, Decorah,?and her MLS from Indiana University, Bloomington. Prior to life as a librarian, Cara served as an orchestra teacher to elementary and middle school students. Cara spent the last six years in Des Moines at Grand View University, and focused on instruction and information literacy. Cara is in the Iowa Library Association (ILA) and the ILA Association of College and Research Libraries, serving in various roles. Beyond librarianship, Cara enjoys spending time with family, playing double bass in Ames? Central Iowa Symphony, working at a summer music camp, and jogging. She looks forward to learning alongside her new puppy, Patience, in obedience classes this fall.?
