Access Medicine

Iowa State researchers are now able to use AccessMedicine from McGraw Hill, an online medical resource that provides access to many of the publisher’s popular medical texts, multimedia, and other study tools. AccessMedicine features more than 120 core titles covering all medical specialties, including anatomy, physiology, medical microbiology, biochemistry, and epidemiology.

In addition, the platform includes an array of multimedia to help visualize and explore concepts. Human anatomy modules allow students to explore systems of the human body through animations and 3-D models. Lectures are available on topics related to anatomy, genetics, neurology, physiology, and more. And students can create a free Access Profile to utilize flash cards and review questions.

Instructors can request special access to download PowerPoint slides, images, and tables to include in their instructional materials. These images are the same ones that appear in many of the most popular books on AccessMedicine.
