Megan O'Donnell joined the Iowa State University Library on May 15 as the Scholarly Communications Librarian. Her responsibilities include coordination of the overall scholarly communications program, which addresses issues with open access, e-science, digital data management plans, data curation, copyright, fair use and author's rights.
O'Donnell comes to Iowa State as a recent graduate of the Master of Library Science program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. As a graduate student, she worked for the Grainger Engineering Library Information Center, where she gathered broad experience including working reference, editing and creating metadata, supervising student assistants and working on special projects.
