During the summer months, the Library's Instruction Department will move to a new location in Parks Library, in space formerly occupied by the Microforms Center (Floor 1, Room 140). Staff in the Instruction Department support three major instructional programs: Library 160, the Instruction Commons/LibGuides, and Course Reserve. Please note the following timeline:

May 5-8: Staff responsible for Reserve Processing will move from Reserve & Media Services (Lower Level, Room 2) to space at the north end of the Microforms Center (Floor 1, Room 140). The two units will share this space through June 20^th, at which time the Microforms collections and staff will move to their new location on Lower Level. July 21-31: Staff responsible for the Library 160 and Instruction Commons/LibGuides programs will move from their current locations (Floor 1, Rooms 150-153) "across the hall" to Room 140. A single service desk in the new location will provide assistance to students, faculty, and staff engaged in any of the Library's instructional programs.

NOTE: While the vast majority of course reserve materials are available online, the Library does maintain a small collection of "hard copy" reserve items, including books, DVDs, and other physical formats. Although this material is processed by staff in the Instruction Department, it is housed in the Library's Media Center (Lower Level, Room 2), and circulates from that location. Reserve request forms and/or physical items to be placed on reserve can be dropped off either in the Instruction Department (limited hours) or the Media Center (more expanded hours). However, if you wish to consult with Reserve Processing staff, please do so by phone, email, or by visiting their offices in the Instruction Department.
