Like many of the indexes and databases accessible through the e-Library, Access World News contains links and resources that can save valuable research time. The database is frequently used because it provides access to full-text articles from over 2,000 U.S. and international news sources. Often overlooked however are other valuable links provided on the home page. These links can help pinpoint useful information and navigate through millions of articles and video clips on specific issues.

Launch Access World News  from the Article Indexes and Databases list and hover over the Other NewsBank Products link on the upper right side of the page. A drop down menu appears with links to help narrow the search for the most current “Hot Topics” or “Special Reports” available. Updated on a monthly basis, Hot Topics compiles news on current events and issues from around the world. The Special Reports link focuses on broader topics of interest and provides access to current and background information, statistics, maps, images, Web links, and suggested search terms. Utilize these pages to find possible report topics or augment information already located for a paper. There are numerous items of broad interest!
