The library can help with data management planning.
We currently offer three services:
Data Management Guide
The Data Management Guide is our complete resource on data management and is updated regularly. It includes a tab on ISU resources and how to best use them, checklists for data management, FAQs, and links to other helpful resources like agency guidelines.
Workshops & Seminars
Workshops are held periodically and are announced in the Library news and in campus-wide mailing lists. If you are interested in hosting a workshop, or learning when the next one will be held, please contact Megan N. O’Donnell, Scholarly Communications Librarian
If you would like to schedule a consultation or have general questions about data management please contact Megan N. O’Donnell, Scholarly Communications Librarian
Why is the library involved?
Libraries have been storing and organizing “data” in the form of books and journals for centuries and are now involved in the management and preservation of digital assets as well. University librarians are part of the larger campus conversation around the storage and management of digital information including research data, dissertations and thesis, digital images, and more.
