Charges and payment methods
Most items can be obtained at no cost to our local users.
The cost of an ILL transaction is based on a number of variables, including the ISU Library's numerous reciprocal and consortial lending agreements. The library subsidizes each ILL request up to $30.00. If the cost of an ILL exceeds this amount, ILL staff will consult with the requestor to determine his/her willingness to pay the additional charges.
There is a flat fee of $5.00 to borrow a book or other returnable item from an international supplier outside the U.S. and Canada.
The ILL Office accepts credit/debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, and Discover), SHAZAM, ISU intramurals, personal checks, or U-bill transactions as payment methods. All ILL fees should be paid at the Parks Library Circulation Desk.
