The New Title List provides a week by week listing of materials acquired by the Iowa State University Library. These include books and journals in both print and electronic format, as well as microforms, government publications, videos, and other non-print media. The list can be customized by selecting specific weeks, collections, and/or locations, or default values can be used. Three months of weekly listings are maintained.
Each entry in the list provides the call number, title, location, and collection for a newly acquired item, and indicates whether the item is temporarily shelved on the Parks Library new title shelves. By clicking on a title in the list, you display the corresponding full record in the ISU Library Catalog, which provides more detailed information, including the item's current status. (Note that, for new government publications, the records displayed may be brief and will be replaced by fuller records later.)
Please remember that not all items on the New Title List are found on the Parks Library new title shelves. Always display the complete Library Catalog record for up-to-the-minute information about an item's exact location and status.
You may sort the New Title List by title or by call number. A call number sort will contain both standard Library of Congress call numbers and unique call numbers for specialized materials such as government documents, media formats, and electronic products. These unique call numbers interfile alphabetically with the Library of Congress call numbers, so special attention is needed when interpreting the location of these special materials.
