This site is not intended to be either exhaustive or extensive. It is only intended to be a start by leading the user to the most seminal sites which will answer the majority of needs.

Sponsored by the Library of Congress to access legislative information. Includes links to federal executive and judicial information, and state and local government information.
FEDERAL COURT LOCATOR
Full text of the opinions of the Supreme Court and the courts of appeal.
FEDWORLD
The site goal is to provide a one-stop location for the public to locate and order US government information. Includes federal jobs and tax forms.
GOVERNMENT INFORMATION EXCHANGE
Provides access to federal web sites which provide information most sought by citizens through federal offices, e.g. passport and visa information, paten t and trademark information, forfeited and surplus property, social security and medicare, tax information, veterans benefits, federal job information, and federal phone directories.

Includes Government Printing Office records from 1976 to the present as well as MARCIVE's shipping list records for access to titles not yet cataloged.

STATISTICAL INFORMATION

AMERICAN TRAVEL SURVEY
Data from the 1995 American Travel Survey are presented in summary form (both for the nation and for individual states), as well as in tables and maps. Publications, data access tools, data documentation and a product catalog are also available.
CENSUS BUREAU
Your source for social, demographic and economic information from the censuses and surveys conducted by the U.S. Bureau of the Census. Also links to other data publishing sites. Has access tools to search census data.
FEDSTATS
More than 70 agencies in the United States federal government produce statistics of interest to the public. The Federal Interagency Council on Statistical Policy maintains this site to provide easy access to the full range of statistics and information produced by these agencies for public use.
SOURCEBOOK OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE STATISTICS ONLINE
Brings together data about all aspects of criminal justice in the United States presented in over 600 tables from more than 100 sources. This site is updated regularly to reflect new data that will appear annually in the print edition.
STAT-USA
(ISU ONLY)
Produces, distributes, disseminates the most extensive government-sponsored business, economic, and trade information data bases in the world today, including the National Trade Data Bank, the Economic Bulletin Board, Survey of Current Business, and Commerce Business Daily.
STATISTICAL MASTERFILE
(REFERENCE AREA ONLY)
Provides access to authoritative information about statistical sources on a vast range of economic, demographic, social and political subjects. Indexes data from the federal and state governments, international organizations, universities, associations, business, and research organizations.
TRADE STATISTICS
State and metropolitan export data, U.S. foreign trade data, and industry and trade outlook. Produced by Office of Trade and Economic Analysis (Dept. of Commerce).
U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, BUREAU OF JUSTICE STATISTICS
Contains information on crime, criminal offenders, victims of crime, and the operations of justice systems at all levels of government. Includes full text of selected BJS documents. Also offers link to sites with related information.
USDA ECONOMICS & STATISTICS SYSTEM

Contains current and historical statistics on agricultural developments.

TECHNICAL REPORT ACCESS

ENERGY
Bibliographic records and abstracts of technical reports covering 1994 to date. Site sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy.
AEROSPACE
 
CASI
Technical report server of the Center for Aerospace Information (NASA facility). CASI is a field searchable WAIS database which contains NASA produced technical reports and aerospace-related open literature from 1970 through current, selected from the NASA RECON databases.
STAR
The online version of the discontinued paper product, "Scientific and Technical Aerospace Reports" in PDF format beginning with 1996. Abstract journal, containing citations and abstracts for aerospace-related reports obtained from worldwide sources .
DEFENSE TECHNICAL INFORMATION CENTER
Includes the last 10 years of unclassified, unlimited technical report citations to full text reports.
NATIONAL TECHNICAL INFORMATION SERVICE

Bibliographic records and abstracts of more than 500,000 technical reports from all over the world.

Compendium of Federal programs, projects, services, and activities which provide assistance or benefits to the American public.
CROP INSURANCE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT BULLETINS
Bulletins released from the director's office of the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation.
JUSTICE INFORMATION CENTER
PATENT OFFICE
Provides bibliographic information including an abstract for patents granted since 1976. Includes search engine.
PUBMED
The National Library of Medicine's search service to access the 9 million citations in MEDLINE and Pre-MEDLINE (with links to participating on-line journals), and other related databases.
TAX FORMS

Includes tax publications as well as forms. Links to state tax forms and publications.

STATE/UNIVERSITY LINKS TO GOVERNMENT INFORMATION

COLORADO
Extensive alphabetical list of links by topic.
MICHIGAN
Thorough wide ranging site with a special sensitivity to current issues and the demand of university class assignments. One special feature is a link to a very large number of historical documents loaded at the University of Kansas. There is a search mechanism which is important for such a massive site.
MEMPHIS
The most useful feature of this site are links to migrating government publications by title showing whether the internet resource was the only available format for that title. Gateway to GPO ACCESS, some locally produced guides and links to other sites.
