Bibliographic Management Software (EndNote, Zotero, etc.)

Bibliographic management software programs, sometimes referred to as "citation managers", can help researchers collect and organize bibliographic citations and create bibliographies. Popular programs include:

EndNote Web: Freely available to ISU students, faculty, and staff as part of the Library's Web of Knowledge subscription.
EndNote: Stocked by University Bookstore; faculty/student discounts apply.
Zotero: A free Firefox extension.
RefWorks: Although ISU does NOT have an institutional license, users who have paid personal subscriptions can use RefWorks in conjunction with many library databases. The academic version can be ordered via the University Bookstore; faculty/student discounts apply.

As part of its seminar series, the ISU Library has also produced an instructional video entitled "Zotero, EndNote Web, and EndNote--Manage Your Bibliographies the Easy Way." The content of this seminar is divided into four parts:
