AGRICOLA -- Provides access to citations in the agricultural literature including agricultural economics, animal culture and welfare, biotechnology, human ecology, soil science, and veterinary medicine. Indexes articles, books, theses and patents dated 1970 to the present.
AGRIS -- AGRIS provides access to citations and abstracts dealing with agricultural science and technology worldwide. Topics covered include forestry, animal husbandry, aquatic science and fisheries, and human nutrition. AGRIS indexes articles, unpublished scientific and technical reports, theses, conference papers, and government publications dated 1975 to the present.
BIOSIS Previews (Biological Abstracts) -- Biosis Previews combines Biological Abstracts and Biological Abstracts/RRM (Reviews, Reports, Meetings) into one unified database with monthly updates. It contains citations to journal articles, meetings and conference reports, patents, books and patents. Biosis Previews covers virtually every life science discipline: agriculture, biochemistry, biotechnology, botany, ecology, immunology, microbiology, neuroscience, pharmacology, public health, and toxicology.
CAB Abstracts -- Provides access to citations and abstracts of the international agricultural literature, including plant protection, forestry engineering, animal husbandry, animal and plant breeding, genetics, veterinary medicine, nutrition, rural development, economics, and leisure and tourism. CAB Abstracts indexes articles, books, conferences, reports and other kinds of literature dated 1972 to the present.
Current Contents Connect -- Current Contents Connect provides abstracts and table of contents to current issues of journals, books and conference proceedings. Coverage includes the current year, plus the previous two years. Updated daily. Current Web Contents, included at this site, provides links to scholarly sites on the World Wide Web that related to Current Contents disciplines.
Food Science and Technology Abstracts -- Provides access to citations and abstracts dealing with all human food commodities and food processing (except for the production of raw food). Topics covered include microbiology, toxicology and hygiene, economics and statistics, engineering, packaging, and many food products. FSTA indexes articles, patents, standards, books, conference proceedings, research reports, dissertations, and legislation. Coverage from 1969 to the present.
SciFinder Scholar (Chemical Abstracts) -- SciFinder scholar provides access to CAplus, a database of chemical literature and U.S. and foreign chemical-related patents, CASREACT, and the Registry database from Chemical Abstracts Service. It includes journal articles, book chapters, patents, conference proceedings, technical reports, substance database and dissertations covered in Chemical Abstracts as well as articles currently being indexed, book reviews and biographical information.
Web of Science (Includes Science Citation Index Expanded) -- Web of Science provides access to the Science Citation Index Expanded, Social Sciences Citation Index, and Arts & Humanities Citation Index. The ISU Library has purchased coverage from 1970 to the present. The fundamental question which can be answered quickly by Web of Science is where and by whom has a particular paper been cited. A list of journals covered is available from the publishers web page. A tutorial is also available.

e-Journals

The Iowa State University Libraries subscribes to over 29,000 journals. These can be located by searching in the Library's catalog. Some of these journals are available in electronic form. Generally the catalog's record will have a link to the web page of journals that are available on the Internet. Another way to find the electronic journals that the library subscribes to is by going to the e-Journals & e-Books page on the Library's homepage.
