Biosis Previews -- Biosis Previews combines Biological Abstracts and Biological Abstracts/RRM (Reviews, Reports, Meetings) into one unified database with monthly updates. It contains citations to journal articles, meetings and conference reports, patents, books and patents. Biosis Previews covers virtually every life science discipline: agriculture, biochemistry, biotechnology, botany, ecology, immunology, microbiology, neuroscience, pharmacology, public health, and toxicology.
Current Contents Connect(ISU only) -- Provides citations with abstracts for current and recent issues of journals, including ecology, biology, environmental and aquatic sciences. Can also browse tables of contents of specific journal issues.
Fish and Fisheries Worldwide(ISU only) -- Covers all aspects of ichthyology and fisheries, and related aspects of aquaculture.
Species Information Library(ISU only) -- A database of detailed information profiles, with references, for several thousand species of North American animals.
Wildlife & Ecology Studies Worldwide(ISU only) -- A large index to journals and many other types of publications on wild mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and their management.

Birds of North America Online -- The Birds of North America Online (BNA Online) provides detailed scientific information for each of the 716 species of birds nesting in the USA and Canada
Ecological Sciences -- The Ecological Sciences Division, Natural Resources Conservation Service, USDA, is involved in conservation planning, environmental assessment, and pollution issues. This site provides information on agricultural, aquatic, forest and rangeland ecology; wildlife habitat; plants and soils; and ecosystems.

FishBase -- An information system with key data on the biology of over 26,000 fish species worldwide, plus more than 1,400 larval species. Includes thousands of photographs and literature references. Developed at the International Center for Living Aquatic Resources Management (ICLARM) in collaboration with many organizations.

Iowa Department of Natural Resources -- Fish and wildlife, parks and preserves, forestry, and environmental information pertaining to Iowa; DNR programs and publications.
Iowa's Wetlands and Riparian Areas -- Contains the text of the Iowa Wetlands and Riparian Areas Conservation Plan, references and links to other sources of information about wetlands, case studies, and a children's page.
IUCN Red List of Threatened Species -- The world's most comprehensive inventory of the global conservation status of plant and animal species. Contains assessments of more than 18,000 species, 11,000 of which are threatened.
NatureServe -- A leading source for information about rare and endangered species and threatened ecosystems. Includes NatureServe Explorer, a database containing authoritative conservation information for over 50,000 plants, animals, and ecological communities of the U.S. and Canada.
U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service: Conserving the Nature of America -- Information and news releases dealing with fish and wildlife in the U.S. Links to species, habitat, hunting and law enforcement information; FWS online publications, policies, plans, and legislation.
U.S. Geological Survey -- Biology, geology, mapping, and water resources. Includes some fish and wildlife resources.
