Scirus

Scirus is a free, comprehensive science-specific Internet search engine. It currently provides access to more than 200 million science-related Web pages. In addition to offering access to general and specialized full-text journals, e-print collections, reports, and abstracts, Scirus also incorporates access to select company homepages, conference information, news pages, patents, product information, scientists’ homepages, professional society homepages, and university Web sites.

Scirus covers a variety of disciplines in the sciences, technology, and social sciences, which include the agricultural and biological sciences; astronomy; chemistry and chemical engineering; computer science; earth and planetary sciences; economics, business and management; engineering, energy and technology; environmental sciences; languages and linguistics; law; life sciences; materials science; mathematics; medicine; neuroscience; pharmacology; physics; psychology; social and behavioral sciences, and sociology.

Scirus has incorporated both subscription and open access scholarly literature sources. Detailed information about these and other sources is available from the Scirus site.
