NOTE: This database is no longer available via the OCLC FirstSearch service.

INSPEC formerly was one of the primary databases made available by the Iowa State University Library. It provided citations (with abstracts) to articles in journals and conference proceedings in the fields of physics, electrical engineering and electronics, computing and control, and information technology.

While not as comprehensive in their coverage of these fields, the following databases include many of the major topics covered by INSPEC, and one or more of these may fully meet your needs. If you still need a search of INSPEC see below.
