Expanded Academic ASAP

Scope: Expanded Academic ASAP provides broad coverage of current events and news as well as many academic subjects including business, education, health, psychology, and science and technology. The database contains citations and many full-text articles with images; it offers more than 3200 indexed and full-text titles.

Audience: While Expanded Academic ASAP is useful to anyone seeking information on a variety of subjects, the database is an ideal choice for undergraduates who are doing research for brief reports, speeches, or term papers. The database is featured in the Library 160 manual, tutorials, and class assignments.

Coverage:

Coverage is from 1980-present (Note: Not all periodicals are covered for all years).

  • Social science journals (topics related to business, psychology, sociology, education)
  • Humanities journals (topics related to language and literature, religion, philosophy, history)
  • Science and technology journals (topics related to biology, chemistry, computer science, environmental science)
  • National news periodicals (Newsweek, Time, U.S. News & World Report)
  • General interest magazines (National Geographic, Saturday Evening Post, Psychology Today)
  • The New York Times (indexed only)


Access: Expanded Academic ASAP is available on or off campus to those with a valid ISU ID card.
