The Learning Connections Center (LCC) is an integrated research and technology facility where users can obtain reference assistance and technological help with assignments and projects. A Help & Information Desk is centrally located in the LCC, and is staffed by reference and IT staff to provide patrons with research and technological assistance. The LCC also houses a portion of the Library's printed reference collection, the remainder of which is housed at the south end of Tier 2. The LCC includes four Multimedia Production Studios equipped with Macs and PCs and a variety of software packages used across the campus. It also has 24 collaborative workstations and study tables wired for laptop use as well as comfortable armchair seating. Two free-standing scanning stations as well as flatbed scanners let users digitize print reference and other materials and incorporate them into their work. There are also two photocopiers available in the LCC. Room 188A in the LCC houses equipment for patrons with disabilities. A Presentation Room (Room 188C) equipped with a large LCD panel, camera and DVD equipment allows students to preview their projects and practice presentations. This room, as well as the Multimedia Production Studio workstations can be scheduled on the Room Reservation system.
