Biographical note

C. P. "Carroll" Wilsie was a Professor of Agronomy at ISAC/ISU from 1937-1963. The papers include professional correspondence, interdepartmental correspondence, correspondence with seed companies and inquiries with farmers, correspondence with the USDA and the Experiment Station network. There are research files on Hemp production in Iowa during World War II, research on alfalfa, legumes, clover and soybeans. The collection also contains records of the NC-7 group (ca. 1962) which attempted to encourage the introduction of new crops in the midwest.

Collection description

The papers include professional correspondence, interdepartmental correspondence, correspondence with seed companies and inquiries with farmers, correspondence with the USDA and the Experiment Station network.
